WHAT YOU GET
The Drivir ride sharing app gives drivers access to passengers across Jamaica who want to move around safely. Through the app, drivers will be able to get more passengers with less wait time. Drivers collect cash payments as well as card payments through the app.
SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY.
When passengers connect with drivers, both passenger and driver phones are tracked through our GPS technology. Drivir also equips some vehicles with a GPS tracking system as an additional safety measure for passengers, drivers, and vehicle owners. Vehicle owners will be given online access to the tracking device. They will be able to remotely shut off the vehicle, prevent it from starting, locate the vehicle, and see location history.
APPROVAL
After you have submitted your driver and vehicle documents, they will be reviewed for approval.
VEHICLE TYPE
As passengers request rides, they will have a choice of the type of vehicle they want. The fare you will get will depend on the type of vehicle you drive. For example, a Contract Carriage vehicle with no taxi markings or globe on top will receive a larger payment than a Route Taxi or a Hackney Carriage taxi. Also, an SUV or bigger luxury vehicle will earn you a higher fare.
INCENTIVES
Once you start accepting rides, there are DRIVIR Incentives for you to keep the app switched on and to accept ALL rides. The more rides you accept, the more benefits you will get.
DRIVIR Incentives are a way to reward drivers for providing a top class service to customers. These come in the form of Preferred Passenger Rides and Cash Bonuses. Drivers earn these when they maintain a high star rating for a period of time and get good reviews from customers. Drivers can also win incentives by keeping the app on and ready to work during some slow periods. The more rides you accept, the more benefits you will get. Passengers are able to rate your service from 1-5 stars and are able to leave a review. The higher your ratings and the better your reviews, the more benefits you will receive in the form of cash rewards and preferred rides.
Sign in to the app using your login information and make sure your phone's GPS is on.
Click the "Available" switch to "On," and make sure your phone's notifications volume is turned up. If you are signed up to drive more than one vehicle, go to settings and make sure the correct vehicle is selected. You are now ready to accept rides.
When a request comes in, click "Accept". Do not Decline rides. The more rides you accept, the more incentives you will receive. Once you have accepted the ride you can follow the map to the Pick Up location.
Once you get to the Pick Up location, click "I Have Arrived". The passenger will receive a notification that you have arrived. Please allow up to 5 mins for the passenger to get to the vehicle. If the passenger does not arrive after 5 minutes, you are allowed to call them to let them know you are waiting.
Once the passenger is safely in the vehicle, click "Start Ride". You can use the app's GPS direction or use your knowledge of the area to get to the Drop Off location . PLEASE NOTE: The passenger has the exclusive right to determine the route you drive. You must follow the passenger's request!
Once you have arrived at the Drop off location, click "End Ride". The screen will show the payment method. If payment method is Cash, collect the amount shown from the passenger. If the payment method is a debit or credit card, you will receive your payment from Drivir Logistics. Please remember to rate your passengers.
Collect all cash payments shown at the end of each ride.
Card payments will be transferred to your bank account the next day, minus all service fees collected by cash and card.
Your earnings can be found in the settings section of the app.
